Nightcrawler confirmed for X2! (maybe)

If it gets an international release date (ie it comes out EVERYWHERE on (or around) the same day) we'll still get it first for two reasons...

1. The time difference...we're 15 hours ahead of most of the States...

2. New movies are released here on THURSDAYS...and, correct me if I'm wrong, new movies are released in the States on FRIDAYS

I don't really care one way or the other as long as I get to see it...but if Kurt's in it I'll be sitting through multiple viewings instead of the single sitting for the first one (though I have bought the DVD). And I didn't even pay for it...I won a free pass to see it the day before it came out here...so I saw it two days before it came out in the States.

Now if they only do the same thing for the Kurt-filled (fingers crossed) X2...

Of course...if he IS in it, the part would have already been cast...along with the feet...the hands...the ears...the teeth...the tail...those make-up jobs take ages!

I went and saw Blade 2 this afternoon...

Umm...I wont go off on how much I didn't like it...

But the part with the vampires in suits jumping through the rafters...VERY cool. VERY Nightcrawlery.

The wall crawling was disappointing...

I didn't expect much from the movie, I mean, I thought the first one sucked, and really, this one wasn't much better. I didn't like it at all....

But the acrobatics effects make it clear that Nightcrawler will be possible to do convincingly!

They had vampires crawling on the wall pretty convicingly in Queen of the Damn too. (Yeah, I know everybody says it sucks. It wasn't that bad. Just wasn't that good either. But it was worth it for Staurt Townsend)

Ditto! All the mutants on the team and even most of them at the school were too pretty, too normal looking. Plus Kurt would be cool because he superficially resembles Mystique so much that those who aren't familiar with him would automatically assume he was a villain. Then he turns out to be a good guy and surprises the X-newbies in the audience.

I think he would immediately win audiences over just by looks alone. Visually, he would kick ass in live action, and as long as he has a personality he would win audiences over with that charm.

Ladies, we might be neck-deep in Kurt swooners if he's done right.

I just hope they don't go the Darth Maul route with him. As in wicked cool looks and not so much substance.

Kids seemed to love Darth Maul, for the visual. Right up until he got sliced in 2 smile

I did like blade, but they lost me during one scene. I wont say which, but the gore was a little too over powering for me. It wasn't by any means a low budget slasher/gore flick, dont get me wrong. But the fight scenes were awesome.

does anoyne else feel torn about his recent high profile appearacnes? i mean he's getting tons of exposure lately, and on the one hand, it's fantastic! my favourite character is everywhere and is popular! biggrin

i liked being one of the few who could see the true potential of Kurt, it was like a select few such as sue that had exceptionally good taste could see him for how great he really was, and he was like our litte secret club or something. now that he has so much exposure, on the oen hand his character is more likely to be developed and interesting things done with him, but on the other, he may come to be over used. i don't think it will ever get to the point of him being like Wolverine or anything, but, i don't want to see him spread too thin...

I think you're right. It won't get that bad, but just the thought of it makes me cringe. Don't get me wrong, I like the Canucklehead, but sometimes his overwhelming popularity and nuttiness of his fans gets annoying.

I totally know what you mean, Nocturne. It's great that he's getting more popular, but I hope it doesn't kill the elf I love. Even a year ago, people thought I was nuts for collecting Kurt appearances. Now, his mini was sold out twice at my local store and some of my husband's friends think I'm a fangirl for liking him. "Aw, it's just because of the cartoon," they say. *Grrrrr*

People like us have been campaigning for years to get Kurt more recognized. We had the neverending thread at Wizard World for more than a year, we have this forum and BC's on EZBoard, umpteen of us operate websites dedicated to Nighty and some of us crank out fanart and fanfic. Well, I think all our work has finally paid off. I hope it goes well.

*Shudder* Rabid Wolvie fans. *Shudder* I am thrilled that Nightcrawler is getting so much attention, but it kinda bugs me too. Way back when, fans were few and far between, especially loyal ones. Now, if you have watched "Evolution" you are apparently a fan. *Sigh* I'm glad about the attention, but afraid that it will take him in a direction that changes his basic standing in X-Men.
